I went to the old dhaka in my friend’s house during their festival. Actually old Dhaka people celebrates ‘Paush Shankranti’- the last day of Bangla month Paush with all their neighbors and relatives. This traditional festival is locally known as ‘Shakhrine’. They rejoice themselves flying colorful kite in the day and fire works in the evening.

Actually, I know many things about the festival of old Dhaka which is known as ‘Shakraine’, as I have attended this festival once with my friends. This festivals is really interesting. They use to fly kites during this day, and the sky becomes colorful with hundreds or more colorful kites, and this is really amazing to watch. And moreover they celebrate this night as well, which is nothing less than their celebration of the day. They celebrate the with many types of fireworks, which makes the sky bright again after the dawn.
